Riccardo Ciancaglini, graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Milan in Italy in 1977, is internationally recognized as one of the leading minds in his specialty worldwide. He specialized in Dentistry and Stomatology in 1979. He received training as a specialist in oral and maxillofacial surgery in 1979. From 1977 to 1981 he was staff member of the Department of Dentistry and Stomatology at the San Paolo Hospital University of Milan, and from 1981 to 1985 he was acting Director of the Periodontology Section. In 1982 in this University Clinic he founded and directed the Department of Physiopathology of the Temporomandibular Joint. In 1983 he was visiting Professor of Physiopathology of Occlusion at the Postgraduate School of Dentistry at the University of Milan. In 1989 he was full Professor of Dentistry and Stomatology at the University of Genoa. In 1993 he was Professor and Chairman of Prosthetic Dentistry and Clinical Gnathology at the Dental School of the University of Milan. In 1994 he was appointed Head of the Department of Oral Rehabilitation at the Scientific Institute, San Raffaele Hospital, University of Milan. In 2001 Winner of the Prize 'Global Education Award' for the original contribution in the 'problem based' teaching of Gnatology with the support of internet. In 2005 Riccardo became a Member of the Society for Light Therapy and Biological Rhythm (SLTBR).
