EU, Afghanistan agree to boost bilateral ties

Friday, February 13, 2009  BRUSSELS: European Parliament and National Assembly Afghanistan have agreed upon boosting bilateral cooperation besides strengthening two-sided dialogues, said statement released jointly by head of European Union delegation Guido Podesta and Secretary to Afghan Vollesi Jirga Saleh Muhammad after three-day parliamentary conference here in Brussels on Thursday. On the occasion, Saleh Muhammad said it is highly indispensable to enhance durable cooperation to understand both sides. He added, the conference discussed security situation in Afghanistan, supremacy of law, corruption eradication and issues related to contrabands.
